Privacy Policy
This policy covers how this website is used, and what happens to information shared when engaging gabe.digital as a consultancy. This policy is written in plain language, and is intended to be clear and understandable. If you have questions about this policy, please use the contact form.
Website Usage
- This website uses Google Analytics (GA) to understand traffic and usage. No other tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics tools are used.
- GA may collect standard usage data such as pages visited, approximate location (derived from IP), device/browser type, and referral source. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy.
- No personally identifying information is intentionally collected through website browsing alone. If you fill out a contact form or otherwise provide your details directly, see "Engaging the Consultancy" below.
- You can opt out of GA tracking using a browser extension (e.g., Google's official Analytics opt-out add-on) or by using browser privacy settings that block analytics scripts.
- No cookies are used beyond what GA itself requires to function.
Engaging the Consultancy
When you engage gabe.digital as a client or prospective client, some personal and project information is necessarily shared and handled — contact details, project scope, and in some cases, access to your systems or codebase.
- Information shared during an engagement is used solely for the purpose of delivering the engagement, and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties outside what's needed to do the work (e.g., a subprocessor or AI vendor, per the AI Client Policy).
- Any AI usage involving your data — including what may or may not be sent to cloud versus local models — follows the terms set out in the AI Client Policy, particularly around sensitive information and opt-out/BYO provider options.
- Project-related communications, contracts, and files are retained only as long as needed for the engagement, ongoing support, or legal/accounting requirements (e.g., invoicing records), and are deleted or archived securely afterward.
- Data is not used for any purpose beyond the engagement it was collected for, without your explicit consent.
Your Rights
You can ask, at any time, to:
- know what information is held about you or your organization,
- have that information corrected, or
- have it deleted, subject to any legal or contractual retention requirements (e.g., invoices needed for tax records).
Reach out at privacy@gabe.digital for any of the above, or with general privacy questions.
